A new bike finally!

Last week I picked up my new Trek 7.5FX. It's truly a pleasure to ride to work these days (the beautiful spring weather helps too.) I've added a rack for my panniers and fenders for rainy days, but it's still much lighter than my old Bianchi. My old bike has served me well since 1992. It will now be relegated to winter service.

Grace's First TILLEY Hat

With the sun getting stronger and sunscreen not recommended for babies under 6 months, a good hat is a necessity. This hat has a nice wide brim, the size is adjustable with a toggle around the head circumference, it is reversible, has a velcro chin strap for windy days and boat rides, has 50+ UV protection and...I see some pink! Grace seems okay with it...we will try it out on our walk to pick up Liam and Luke from school.

A Little Mozart

Grace hasn't played much with the Mozart Gym yet but Luke was reliving the good old days...yes that cute baby is our Luke!

The Moby

As I'm typing this, Grace is snuggled in a wrap-carrier called the Moby. She's using the preemie/newborn configuration where she's tucked inside. I find it quite comfortable and I'm able to do quite a bit around the house while wearing it.

Which hat will we need?

Beth has knitted the three smaller caps and the blue one is from when the boys were babies. Hopefully, 3 days from now we'll know which one to use.

The Sorel Replacements

We have been hit by some messy snow over the last two days and the replacements I bought for my leaking Sorels have been fantastic. The Keen Summit County Boots are warm, light, dry and provide great traction. I've loved my two pairs of Keen shoes, and these boots seem destined to follow. Thanks Mom.

The roomba

Beth's grandparents got us the roomba for Christmas. It is the perfect gift for Beth. Right now the roomba is in the kitchen doing its thing.

My Sorels are leaking!

After only one season my Sorel Caribou boots are leaking. They have developed cracks in the rubber. So much for the legendary Sorel quality. A quick search of the Internet turned up similar complaints about a drop in Sorel quality since the company was sold and production was relocated offshore. The warranty is only one year so I've missed it by about 2 months.
